Are you totally confused about the whole college process? I was too!! Deciding on where to go to college and finding out the ins and outs of college is a hard thing to do. That is where I fit in as your admission specialist. I am originally from Andover, Minnesota (you know land of 10,000+ ponds…I mean lakes). I graduated from DSU (go Trojans!) with a degree in elementary education/ special education (endorsements in technology and coaching volleyball). I played volleyball, softball and intramurals, was involved in student ambassadors and homecoming, and worked in the work study program as a secretary and tutor. My hobbies are volleyball (indoor and beach), softball, coaching, eating food, and hanging out with friends. Territory: All states except South Dakota Favorite part of DSU? You can go anywhere and access the internet (I mean anywhere!) Favorite part of Madison? All of the restaurants (especially Jersey’s wing night) What super hero would you be? Jean Grey, because she is the most powerful telepath! She can read other people’s thoughts, blast one’s mind, communicate with people and animals through minds, blast energy at people, create a force field, and can manipulate and control objects with her mind. I would also add flying to that, of course. (I had to do some research because I have no clue about super heroes) What kind of deodorant do you use? Adidas (Aluminum Free) Deodorant Why did you become an admission specialist? I wanted to help others with the tough decision of college (I have been in your shoes). I am also a people person (with a smile) and always want to help in any way I can. Last but not least, I have a great passion for DSU and want others to experience it. As a kid, what did you want to be when you grow up? I wanted to be an astronaut, pilot, and a chocolate or ice cream tester/ flavor creator. If $ or family was not an issue, where would you want to live? Australia Favorite sports team? Twins and Vikings (this is the year for them!) I wish you luck in your college process!
