Major: Physical Education

Academic Year: Senior here at DSU, however; I will be attending another semester before I finish my Bachelors Degree

Hometown:

My major is Physical Education and I chose that path because I love physical fitness! I love to be active and working with other is a necessity in my life. Kids pose a great challenge for me and my passion is to touch people's lives and what better ways to do that then teach.

I chose DSU because of the atmosphere. I am from a little town in Nebraska and my high school was very small. I also liked the idea of having a relationship with my professors. Education is important to me and I love to ask questions; DSU allows me to interact with my peers along with my professors. I also loved the Community Center that was a big seller for me. It is a great facility, and I have a lot of fun working out. Technology was also a reason I chose DSU. I knew nothing about computers and I knew that is was something I was going to need to know in order to succeed. DSU offers great computer classes even for the people who know absolutely nothing about the subject.

I have not done any internship, but I am working on an independent study class in the fall through Madison High School.

I love to road trip to away football and basketball games! We always have a great time at the sporting events. During the week my favorite thing to do is go to "Wings". There is a place in Madison called Jersey's and every Wednesday night they have .25 wings in all different flavors. It is always packed and we always have fun! DSU also has movie nights, that is were you go to the movie theatre and see a movie for only $1.00. The whole theatre is packed with DSU students!

Homecoming week is always a blast there is always something to do. We have a date action every year; it is a fund raiser for some club on campus. It is fun to see your friends end up with. I did it last year and it was fun.
