Finally, I got the offer I have been waiting for!! USDA officially offered, I am overly excited for this new adventure. School has been going ok; spring break is next week. I fly to Vegas on Sunday come back on Wednesday and then Saturday head to Fargo, ND for a Bon Jovi concert. Definitely excited for the next week!! So my friend Amanda had her baby…a cute sweet boy named Isaac Wesley! I can not wait to meet him! I plan on going to Mitchell this weekend with my family to watch the lady Freeman Flyers play their region match up and hopefully advance to State again! J Graduation is only like eight weeks away but with the weather finally being nice out it can not come soon enough. Started running outside this week with my dog Maggie; she absolutely loves it but sleeps the entire rest of the day after we run. Those are the high lights for now. Hope all is wel ... Read More »

Hey Everybody,

So last night was amazing!  Recycled Percussion was here at DSU and put on an amazing show!  The totals are not in quite yet but we are thinking that around 500 people attended the concert both student and members of the community alike.  The show lasted roughly 2 hours and the band kept the excitment up the whole time.  On another positive note, SPRING BREAK STARTS TOMORROW!!!  As you can tell I am a little excited for this.  I will be headed to Colorado again this year with my girl friend and my partner in crime (you both know who you are) to meet up with my best friend.  We will be staying at his house near Denver and then we will head to his cabin in the mountains for a couple days of fun.  Other than that, I just have one more test then one class tomorrow and I'm on the road!  P.s. we have hit a heat wave up here with temperatures in the 30's.

Happy Tra ... Read More »

Well hello again, hope you are having a beautiful Wednesday morning! Here’s a quick update on a few things going on this week around in Madison:
Last night the DSU students who are a part of South Dakota Education Association (SDEA) hosted Dr. Seuss Night for the kids in Madison.  I volunteered to help at this event, and was a part of the activities section. We played games like “Red-Light-Green-Light,” “Mr. Shark,” and “Dr. Seuss Says.” The kids had a lot of fun. The rest of Dr. Seuss night included crafts (making Dr. Seuss hats), snacks (making a bag of treats with popcorn, M&M’s, marshmallows, and goldfish), a supply walk (walk around with music and get school supplies), and a book station (where kids received a book). The kids and parents seemed to really enjoy the night, and it was a great opportunity for all of the education majors to get i ... Next week is the last week until Spring Break. I am very excited to have a week off of school. Spring Break helps students to get away from school for a week and to not worry about the tests, homework, and etc. at school. I will be heading back home to Brookings to relax with the family. My whole family will still be going to school so I will get the house alone during the days to relax! There are however two negatives about Spring Break this year.

Well, today is Wednesday, February 17, 2010. It’s zero degrees outside (and feels like -15) according to the weather channel… AND I CAN’T WAIT FOR SPRING! There has been enough cold and snow for one year, time to warm up. I am looking forward to running outside, wearing shorts, riding my bike instead of driving, seeing grass and flowers, and getting some sunshine! Doesn’t that sound wonderful?!   Anyways, I’m just sitting here in the office drinking some terrible tasting coffee, trying to stay awake and come up with something to say that is worth reading (Obviously I’m not having a whole lot of luck). The men’s and women’s basketball teams both won last night. At halftime ...
